"Proportion is the essence of architectural aesthetics. Architecture is not about whim, but about manifesting the aesthetic found within the science and theory of proportion."
P8A’s inaugural project is located in one of Hanoi’s most established and livable international urban areas. The design captures the homeowner’s spirit and lifestyle, infused with a unique Art Deco flair—marking a fresh evolution in our recent interior design trends. The original 90m² apartment featured a well-structured layout and a panoramic city view, including the iconic Vietcombank tower by architect Norman Foster. These rich existing assets provided our architects with a seamless and inspired starting point.
Art Deco has always been an effortless medium for expressing a homeowner’s distinct taste and lifestyle. The space achieves a luxurious harmony through intricate ceiling and wall moldings, modernized herringbone wood flooring, and meticulously designed lighting. This interplay, set against a palette of grey, black, and white, evokes an atmosphere that is both elegant and refined, yet deeply infused with the owner’s bold personality.
Our designers aimed to integrate Art Deco into a space where functionality and square footage were limited. The challenge was to maintain a fully functional home while honoring the 'gallery-like' nature of the style; every 'show-off' corner was carefully curated to reflect a specific character. From the statue of the prophet Moses to the paintings of Scottish artist Alan Macdonald, every piece was chosen to mirror the homeowner’s disdain for the mundane and the mainstream.
Following the spirit of the Thu Thiem 'Fantastic' House, P8A aims to create spaces that serve as a mirror to the owner's lifestyle and a canvas for artistic value. This goal is the driving force for our architects, designers, and engineers. We consider this integration of personality and aesthetics to be a fundamental and non-negotiable value for P8A in all future projects.
